Intake Process
- Complete a Referral Form
- Complete Service Agreement
- Submit the following clinical documents:
– Doctor’s Referral for ABA Therapy
– Clinical Diagnostic Evaluation - Client’s must submit both medical documents in order to obtain an initial authorization for ABA Therapy.
Once an initial authorization is received a BCBA will meet with the family to complete the intake packet.
The initial assessment will include observations and interact with the client to assess skill level. Collect baseline data on specific behaviors.
The BCBA will develop a treatment plan outlining individualize program goals for ABA therapy. This may take up to 2-3 weeks to complete.
The BCBA will recommend a number of hours for therapy. ABA treatment will more likely to yield better outcome if the client is service close to the recommended treatment hours.
Once an ongoing authorization is received from your insurance a clinical team will be assigned to the client. ABA Therapy is a 2-service model. The team will include a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who will directly work with the client and a BCBA is required to supervise the RBT.
Parent Training is also a requirement for continual service and parents are expected to participate in the therapy and parent training sessions.
Re-evaluation: Progress and discharge criteria will be reviewed and discussed every 6 months.

At Aborder Behavioral Health (ABH), our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) use the
science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to change behavior. Following the results of an
initial assessment, we create unique, individualized programs for each child. We focus on
manipulating behavior by identifying functions of behavior and implementing researched
strategies based on function. Our primary goal is to teach children to communicate their wants and needs, while using verbal behavior to decrease problem behavior and increase socially appropriate behaviors.
BBH is comprise of qualified health professionals who have a genuine interest to provide quality care for children and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Our Therapists
Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), are board-certified technicians who practices
under the ongoing supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. RBTs are primarily responsible for
carrying out behavior-analytic treatment plans for children with autism. They provide intensive 1:1 therapy training, helping your child to reach their highest potential.
Our therapists work closely with families! We role play with parents and create opportunities to teach evidence base interventions that you can maintain outside of the therapy sessions. You will be able to be a part of the treatment in assisting your child in developing life skills. The therapist will track your child’s progress by collecting data and our behavioral management software will graph the progress. The BCBA will provide weekly supervision to ensure positive outcome and track progress.
